1. Who is responsible for your information?
Easy Car Gambia is the transport service brand operated by ONLY GREEN, a business in The Gambia. ONLY GREEN is responsible for the personal information it uses to answer enquiries and arrange its services.
Postal correspondence: ONLY GREEN, P.O. Box 3526, Serekunda, The Gambia, West Africa. This is a postal address, not a passenger pickup point.
Contact: WhatsApp +220 796 4075 or +220 343 8712. For a privacy request, please start your message with “Privacy request”.
2. Information we use
If you contact us, we may receive your name, WhatsApp number, correspondence, travel dates, pickup and destination details, flight information, passenger count, luggage requirements and booking details. We only need information relevant to your enquiry or journey. Please do not send passport copies, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through the website enquiry form.
Our website hosting and security services may process technical information, such as your IP address, request time, requested page, device or browser information and error logs, to deliver and protect the website.
3. How the enquiry form works
The form prepares a WhatsApp message in your browser. It does not submit your trip details to a website booking database. When you press the WhatsApp button, the selected contact number and your completed trip details are passed to WhatsApp in a link so that WhatsApp can prepare your message. You then review and send the message within WhatsApp. The link may remain in your browser history; avoid entering sensitive information.
No booking is made simply by completing the form. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you may write to our postal address.
4. Why we use information
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and take steps you request before a booking.
- To arrange and provide an agreed journey, communicate pickup details and handle changes.
- To manage legitimate business needs, including website security, service records, complaints and the establishment or defence of legal claims.
- To meet applicable legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on steps requested before entering a contract or performance of a contract, applicable legal obligations, and legitimate interests in running and securing the service. If we request consent for a separate optional purpose, we will explain that purpose and how to withdraw consent. We do not treat a transport enquiry as permission for unrelated marketing.
5. Who receives information?
Relevant information may be shared with our local booking team and assigned driver as needed to arrange your journey, and with hosting or technical support providers to operate the website. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to handle a legal claim. We do not sell customer information.
WhatsApp is an external service with its own privacy practices. Opening its links and using its app is governed by its terms and privacy policy. We do not control WhatsApp’s handling of your information.
6. International processing
Our team operates in The Gambia, so information you send us from another country is received and used there. Website and messaging providers may also process information in other countries. Contact us before sending sensitive information if you need details of the handling of your data or any safeguards required by the law applicable to your circumstances.
7. How long we keep information
We retain enquiry information while it is needed to respond, follow up and resolve the enquiry. Booking and related records are retained for the time needed to provide the service, meet applicable accounting or legal requirements and resolve complaints or claims. When deciding whether information remains necessary, we consider the purpose, relevant legal retention periods and unresolved matters. You may ask us about the retention of your particular records.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access or correct your personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or obtain portable data. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it for the future. You may object to use of your information for direct marketing at any time.
Contact us using either WhatsApp number above or our postal address. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority; where UK data-protection law applies, this includes the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
9. Cookies and external services
The current transport enquiry page does not include Google Analytics, advertising pixels or an embedded WhatsApp chat widget. WhatsApp opens only when you choose its links or submit the enquiry form. WordPress may use technical cookies for login, administration or security; these are separate from making a transport enquiry. WordPress may also use browser storage to support emoji display, and externally loaded assets may involve requests to their providers.
You can control cookies and site storage through your browser. If optional advertising or analytics technologies are introduced, we will update this notice and provide the choices required before they operate.
10. Providing information and automated decisions
You choose whether to enquire. We need sufficient journey and contact details to quote and arrange transport. Without them, we may be unable to help. Any future cost calculator provides an estimate only; quotes and booking decisions are confirmed by our team, not made solely by an automated calculator.
11. Updates
We will publish changes here with an updated effective date. Please review this notice before sending a new enquiry.
Optional maps and road estimates
The optional map loads only when you open it. Device location is requested only when you press the GPS button and grant browser permission. It uses Leaflet via unpkg and OpenStreetMap tiles; these providers receive the network information needed to deliver their content. When you request a route, the selected pickup, intermediate stops and destination coordinates are sent through our server to the OSRM routing service. Route estimates are cached temporarily for up to 15 minutes to reduce repeated requests. You can use the manual distance calculator without opening the map. Map and routing providers may keep their own service logs. Your selected trip points may also be included in the WhatsApp enquiry you choose to send.
